Balada Nusantara Menampilkan Sheqal is an album by Sheqal or real name Shahrin Salehuddin, released in 1990. His music career was launched by producer Manan Ngah who wanted a change from his previous pop outputs (Fran, Sudirman, Dato’ Shake, etc). Although by all means not the first to introduce the Nusantara/Pop Traditional genre, this album proven to be a go-to for current research on the subject prompted by the album title “Balada Nusantara Menampilkan Sheqal”. This LP version ignored two tracks made available on the cassette tape and CD releases namely the minus one and instrumental version of “Cinta Nusantara”.
