‘Heavy Rocks (2022)’ is the twenty-ninth album by Japanese experimental rock band Boris. It is also their third in a series of ‘Heavy Rocks’ albums with the preceding pair being released in 2002 and 2011. The first half of the album draws on 1970s proto-metal and punk whilst the more experimental side two takes inspiration from extreme noise artists like Merzbow.
